STILL a military family

After 6 months hoping for some calls on his resume from federal job applications my husband has run out of time and is heading back to work as an active duty Marine. We were hoping to maybe find a new normal but it looks like we are back to the USMC grind. It will keep us here in eastern NC for three more years. That will give us 6 years in one place which is a record. Unfortunately, we are not crazy about the area but we know it means stability for our boys. We are also selling our home and looking for something with more space so lots going on. I continue to teach at the same school the boys attend (perfect) and teach online courses. We are happy to have security and a stable income. While there are many things about military life that are not great like deployments, there are other benefits we cannot beat like the health insurance. Thanksgiving was stressful for all of us so we are looking forward to more relaxing holidays in December. Anyone else dealing with job issues for their spouse?
