Hello GrandMoms-I know we get busy as GrandMoms-working, helping watch and enjoying our GrandChildren.

Let's get this GrandMoms site active! What do you do?

GRANDPARENTING QUESTION -

How much time do you spend with your Grandchildren, on average?

We have been married 10yrs and have a total of 5 children, 8 grandchildren (and 3 more 'in-law grandchildren to be' after August)

We have the 2.5yr old triplet boys & thier baby brother (4mo).
We generally go over one evening a week for dinner, and I spend most Saturdays - at least 1/2 the day - over there. My Son-in-law is a mailman, so he's at work on Sat...nice to have some time w/my daughter & grandsons. Then we might get together another time or tow during the month on Sat evening / or Sunday to do something together. They live about 20 min away.

Our other Grandchildren, (my husband's daughters kids) we seem to only get to see them on family holidays, get togethers. We host at least one immediate family event in our backyard (there is a total of about 22 - just with our 5 kids / spouses / grandkids) and a family backyard gathering with both of my husbands sisters & their families as well - total 32ppl).

My step-daughters also live only about 20 min. away. We chat online & via phone..but they just don't seem to have time to get together. We have never been invited over for dinner, or any of the grandkids school events.

Anyone else have similiar family set up? Is this normal? Hello?!?! lol

HAPPY JUNE!

We had a great time in Philly over Memorial weekend! Although it was REALLY hot! I most loved visiting the Univ. of Penn's Anthropology & Archeology Museum. That was absolutely fantastic! We then had a late lunch at City Tavern - staff dressed in colonial clothes, authentic colonial menu (Hubby had meatloaf, I had turkey pot pie) white asperagus was the menu theme - the cream soup was delish - but the strawberry rhubarb cobbler w/cinnamon ice cream for dessert was to die for! We had purchased 3 day Philly Pass - and that gave us free access to the Univ of Penn & free dessert @ City Tavern.
That was our first afternoon (SAT). More later..

HI! Just me, stopping by to see if anyone is around. Guess not!??
My youngest grandchild (Mason) just turned 3 months on Sat. He's so cute (duh - does any grandparent / or parent think thier kid is NOT cute?) He is a really smily happy baby!
SOo looking forward to taking his big brother triplets to Sesame Place over 4th of July this year. We are in upstate, western NY travelling to Philly for 4 days / 3 nights. We plan on taking them over to the Jersey shore for an afternoon - anyone have any great ideas exactly WHERE we should go for a quiet beach day?? We'd like a bit of the boardwalk experience, as well.
My husband & I are making a 'pre-trip' to Philly for the Memorial Day long weekend. (it's also our 10th anniversary weekend!) so that we can 'scope it out' before we take the kids down. We thought it would be good to know where we're going...will save a lot of grief in July to not be dragging around 2.5 yr old triplets & baby!

Have a great day! thanks in advance for any suggestions on a beach in Jersey!

Good Morning!
I just joined this group - just joined Butterfly yesterday. Looks like a great place!
We have 5 children and just welcomed our #8 grandchild in Feb. this year.
We love to cruise - well, my husband & I do. Someday, if we hit the lotto, we'd love to take the entire family cruising. We now are at the point of renting a cabin at the town park for our winter holiday gatherings, as our house is simply too small for everyone to cram in and be comfortable. I just can't convince my husband that moving to a larger home is practical! LOL just kidding!
I work full time (at the computer all day) and this looks like a great place to stop by on my breaks.

Hi Everyone! I just joined the group and am so happy to find women like you! I have twin granddaughters (see my pictures!), and I'm actually helping raise them. When I'm not chasing them, I own and operate a website called Adorable Baby Clothing.com (www.adorablebabyclothing.com). I'm one busy person, but am learning all the time along with my little granddaughters. I hope I get a chance to chat with you some time and that your day has been blessed!

All My Best--
Cynthia aka Mimi (if you're under 2-feet tall)
