New York City (April 14, 2009)—To celebrate its 30th birthday, Working Mother magazine names 30 Working Mothers of the Year. Winners include a teacher, several high-powered executives, HR and IT professionals, a scientist, a banker, a psychologist and even the First Lady of the United States. The Working Mothers of the Year are extraordinary moms who adeptly balance career, motherhood and self development with grace and determination. The 2009 honorees were chosen from an avalanche of applicants from across the country and will be honored at Working Mother’s 30th birthday party on May 8 in New York City, in the May issue of Working Mother and at www.workingmother.com.
“Working moms live complex, rich lives and are at the ready even in times of economic duress, when family dynamics shift and unexpected challenges arise,” said Suzanne Riss, editor in chief, Working Mother. “Today, we are pleased to honor 30 remarkable women for Working Mother magazine’s 30th birthday.
