The original mommy-and-me offering a different activity each week, in a different venue each week… with lunch! The classes provide a social, educational & healthy balance for both moms and babies (non-walkers). It’s specifically designed, for you two.

Spring 2012, April 11 – May 16

Wednesdays, 11:30-1:00

4/11 “What’s Cook’in?” in a Livingston Home

Get ready to learn quick, easy & healthy cooking tips and techniques from a pro. This foodie will discuss basic nutrition and diet guidelines for the whole family! A healthy fare lunch will follow.

4/18 “Pat-a-Cake & Paint” at Color Me Mine in Summit

A day to capture the moment with your baby’s foot prints on a great ceramic piece. Mom will decorate and paint so it’s for you two. A messy must! Pizza and salad will follow.

4/25 “ Coo-Coo & You” at Creative Kids in Livingston

A mixture of music, movement, yoga and play activities that your baby will love! King’s catered lunch served.

5/2 “Picture This” at Nero’s Grille in Livingston

A most memorable photo shoot will be held with a seasoned photographer, for you two. Choose one free 3x5 professional photo. Dine on a fabulous lunch!

5/9 “Do Re Me, Sing with Me” at Music Together in Millburn

Give your little one an earful as babies listen to instruments and new sounds from a Music Together instructor- a great introduction for you two to see how your baby responds to music. Lunch to follow

5/16 “Lunch and Learn” in a Livingston Home

Celebrate for you two as you chat-n-chew with your new friends. Psychotherapist/Behavioral Expert will discuss the ever-changing dynamics of family relations in the privacy of a home. Wraps to follow.

5/22 “MOM’S NIGHT OUT!” (Optional-additional $50, 8pm dinner)

Here we are- officially one week into 2012. Spill it! How many of you have already abandoned your New Year’s resolution? I confess, I ate like sh!t yesterday but hey, today’s a new day!

I checked out Flywheel™ in Millburn, NJ recently because it’s rumored to be the best indoor cycling and barre experience around (and I figured if I can’t get the eating thing down right this early in the game, I may as well get the exercise thing down). Flywheel™ and barre are truly amazing workouts. Congregation B"nai Jeshurun is starting a new group for Moms and their newborn babies (birth- 6 months), called Baby talk. The group will begin on Thursday December 3 at Jeshurun. Talk about life with a new baby. A chance to meet other new moms and also ask a social worker about everything from sleeping to how to handle your in-laws!!!!
