Help please: is anyone here familiar with genesis child themes? I have a blog (set up by yours truly) and it needs help... If you are familiar with this theme and can lend your expertise - I would appreciate it!

April was an incredibly eventful month as we made an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss child sexual abuse prevention and My Body Belongs to Me.

Oprah stresses the importance of teaching children to tell someone if they are being abused.  I hope to get important child sex abuse prevention tips out to as many parents as possible.  I am lining up a blog tour for July and August.  If you are interested, please shoot me an email. Thank you for your support.

I share on my blog about the dangers of household chemicals and what they are doing to our family and environment. You would be surprised to learn what toxic chemicals are found in everyday household cleaners, personal hygiene products and even baby products.

I was not aware of these dangers until my Mom got sick. I share my "Why" on my blog.

Well, today I woke up with the "brilliant" idea to potty train my 2 year old daughter. It wasn't as if I just woke up and thought of it out of the blue, but a friend said she potty trained her daughter (who is only a month older than my daughter who turned 2 early Jan.) in 2 days. She said by the third day she was in "big girl" underwear, except at nighttime. So, I decided it was time...she really KNOWS when she needs to go, but for some reason she is afraid and has not as of yet, gone in the potty. After five or six pee pee accidents and one poop accident on the floor (which my friend told me to expect) I was ready to call it a night. Of course, she is in her pull up now at night...I am not as concerned about the night time training...Oh, I forgot to mention this friend, it is her youngest of FIVE children! I have two older children, 10 and 8. I did not have an easy time training them either. BUT, with this one, it felt right to try sooner, why? Well, because when she was around 20 months or so, she flat out refused to wear her diapers anymore! My other two kids NEVER did anything like that. Well, I followed my friends instructions of how to shame her if she peed or pooped on the floor, then had her sit on the potty, etc. I am exhausted...we'll see how tomorrow goes. I am giving it through Monday and if it does not work, maybe she is not ready?! What do you all think? Wish me luck! Nice reading your blogs ladies, keep it coming! Have a nice rest of the weekend!
