Working Mother's Social Network | MyWorkButterfly

Hi, I wanted to share my story. My daughter Sofia just turned 5. She was diagnosed with mild autism over a year ago. It was a struggle just to get the diagnosis. She is also hearing impaired so that made it the more difficult. she is non-verbal but is doind well with sign language. I have tried some alternative medicines but honestly, I am not 100% sure they do work. Right now we are doing the B12 shots.
If you want to share your story, please let me know and I will also be happy to share more details about Sofia and our daily challenges.

My son is 9 and was finally diagnosed with autism in June. He is high functioning and also deals with an anxiety disorder. It's been a rough couple of years and things sometimes just seem to get worse. He does well academically, but he really gets over stimulated by all of the noise/chaos of school. I have four other kids at home and that makes it difficult to get into a good routine. My son often becomes aggressive with the other kids and even the family pets- this can be from a rough day at school to being excited about a birthday. I finally turned to medication to help even out his moods and help his anxiety. It's a very tough decision to make.
