WOW, so glad I found this site and this group. I met Terry, one of the co-founders, yesterday and she suggested it. A little about me... I own SPArties Mobile Spa (www.sparties.com) We specialize in on-site spa services for individuals and groups AND we transform your entire location into a day spa. I started it in FL in 2001 and brought it to the Northeast in 2004. I still run both locations and have federally trademarked the term/name SPArties. It's been a labor of love and many challenges along the way, but I LOVE what I do and SPArties is absolutely my baby!
I look forward to sharing ideas, getting advice and forming many great relationships through this site. Thanks so much and keep in touch!

For all of you moms in the New York area, a relatively new Spa that is great is Spa Jeunese. Located accross the street from Lincoln Center, in the Hotel Empire you will be pleasantly surprised to discover this new beauty..and the treatments and programs they offer are wonderful. Last month they hosted award winning aromatherapist Valerie Bennis who is the owner of Essence of Vali. Valerie discussed an important topic whose numbers of "affected" exceed those of the Swine Flu...Insomnia..
Valerie's has won awards for her Sleep blend which is available in a pillow mist, balm and they are available at Jeaunese. This is also the perfect place for ladies day or night out..
check it out for sure..www.jeunessespa.com
I am a spa gal too so I will try and share great spas to visit and specials I hear about..
Sweet dreams......

My favorite spa moments have been at Canyon Ranch (Berkshires) and Dessert Marriot (AZ). I also happen to like Bliss (Downtown Manhattan). As a workaholic, SPA time doesn't come often enough, but when it does, there's nothing better.

Spa today means many different things to many different people, however I find while talking to girlfriends and women all over the world, there are some things we all agree on .. "SPA" is essential for all of us being we as mothers, wives, businesswomen, all need things that make US feel good once in a while! That may mean a manicure & pedicure, a day off to go to the spa / day spa, facial or just the opportunity to take a bath with a glass of wine in hand and soothing background music to help us RELAX? Would love to hear how you and your friends unwind and pamper yourself? Do you get to SPA regularly in a traditional SPA setting ? Or do you sneak some time to pamper yourself at home? What makes you feel good or unwind?
As I said, being a workaholic working mother in the hospitality and spa industry, I find little time to SPA in the traditional sense, but I am finally trying to take some time for me....That means pampering myself at home for the most part (outside of facials, manicures and pedicures I TRY to fit in each month...) A shower using Zents body wash or soap (www.zents.com) is heavenly in the fresh scent. (My husband loves it too!) Finishing off my shower with Zents body creme I smooth all over my body....EVERY part of my body is baby soft after I do this as the creme moisturizes deep into the skin but does not have that greasy feeling afterwards! Towels are important to me. There's nothing worse than drying yourself off with a hard towel. Ladies...experience Nandina (www.nandina.org) organic towels to dry yourself off and you'll never go back to Egyptian cotton! What's even better is they are completely organic! I know many 4&5 star spas and hotels around the world are using the Nandina towels in the hotel rooms and spa. "PROVEN" to be great! To relax in I wear a wonderful Kashwere robe (www.kashwere.com) in the winter or a Nandina organic robe in the warmer climate. Being I live in Scottsdale AZ it get's quite hot!) To top it off I snuggle up with a Kashwere throw while reading a magazine or book? There are many wonderful products I could highlight for you all being I live and breath the spa and hospitality industry daily but I'd love to hear what makes you all feel good and relaxed. What's important to you?
