I am the coupon queen!!! I clip coupons and then keep an eye out for deals. I especially like when Target has special purchases that give gift cards for future use.

Here is my latest story:
I purchased some Gerber Graduates Toddler snacks and meals for my daughter. At the checkout Target gave me special Gerber coupons to use towards a future purchase. Unfortunately, the coupons are for preschoolers and my daughter will not be able to use the food items. I contacted Gerber and explained the situation to them, they are now going to send me coupons to replace the ones from Target that I can't use.

I had no idea! This rocks! Thanks for the info!

That's a great idea Terri-Ann. Mine would be on stuff that we go thru very quick-we brown bag it here. We do not buy to much processed bagged food. We make our own popcorn crunch which I throw in dried apples and bananas along with we have breakfast muffins that have ground up oatmeal and flax seed. We go thru alot of yogurt and bread and lunch meat. We are frugal cause I coupon all three of those to the point I pay 5 cents for our yogurt and 50 cents for our sandwichs. I then am able to purchase fresh meat and fresh vegetables to balance out my families needs. Honestly, I do know how to make my own yogurt and bread yet for time, storage, prep, I save with my coupons. We also shop at the Farmer's market and have done enough business with a few growers that we have a working relantionship and they give me better deals then others. Which is very nice on the dinner table. Just my 2 cents to ponder. ;-) Look forward to hearing more ideas to try.
I love to save.I compare prices and look for the sales when I go grocery shopping.I like to organize the coupons for the items that are on sale.I think my best savings was when I was living in NJ and used to shop at Shoprite. They double your coupons and if the item is on sale can not get better than that.
One of the ways I use over here in Florida is when I shop in CVS and they got and item free with the extra bucks, then used the coupon to buy another product that also have extra bucks so I can mutiply my savings. The only thing is that you have to pay every item separately.Of course I always get things I know Im going to use. Some people thing is not worthed but when Im able to save from 30% to 85% on my shopping I know Im doing what is best for me and my family.
My husband does our grocery shopping, but i don't let him go out the door without checking out couponmom.com If you haven't been there yet, go there before your next trip to the grocery store. I combine the coupons from the Sunday paper with the store specials. This site does all of the work for you! My proudest savings was over $80 combining coupons, with circular specials and club cards! It has become my weekly challenge.
My best tip is to walk away - if a few hours later I am still thinking about that "thing" I may search for a discount somehow before I go back. I guess I have missed out on a few good things this way - but then I forget what it was a week later.
