Working Mother's Social Network | MyWorkButterfly

When you find yourself in a situation to talk about what you do or a product line you represent, how are you viewed by the person you are speaking to?  Do you make them feel warm and fuzzy and want to be spend more time with you as a new friend or do you make them feel like running away from you as fast as they can?

I recently decided to jump on-board and represent a skin care line that caters to my skin, age and comes from natural products.  I sent all my friends, email friends and facebook friends my news and what I told them was if they wanted to talk to me about this new line, I'd be happy to get with them AND that they should not worry about me being "that friend that everyone dreads when they see coming because their always trying to sell them something."  It made me feel like the leads I got were real and genuine- instead of someone pacifing me with that oh yeah let's get together and we never do banter. Blah.

While I'm passionate about my new line, I'm NOT pushy.  I feel this will help me network better.

For now, that's my version of networking with a Heart.

Cheers,

Erin
