So you want to lend a helping hand as a positive role model for youth at risk, but you don't see how you can fit it into your timetable. Here's an option that may work for you.

Orphan Foundation of America has a program that makes it easy for time-strapped folks (like Moms) to volunteer and make a huge impact on the lives of foster youth -- and do it entirely on their own schedule.

It's called "vMentoring" --- mentoring done online via a secure email portal. Basically, adult vMentors are matched with youth aging out of foster care, according to gender, background, interests, career path choices, and other factors. Mentors offer support, advice, a caring ear, and encouragement to their "mentees." By all accounts, this provides a powerful boost for hundreds of foster youth we serve.

This month, the power of vMentoring is spotlighted on OFA's home page; take a closer look HERE.
