A Florida lawmaker wants teachers to grade parents for participation with their children?!?!?

Who is this psychotic lawmaker? Consider the availability of time to children of working parents vs. non-working parents. It's like comparing "apples to oranges". Might it be fair that the obvious stay at home moms receive better "grades" for their participation due to the fact that they are not working in a traditional sense? And, is it fair to those working moms trying to contribute to their families bottom line to receive a less than favorable grade for little participation. As a mom, we do the best that we can in the time we are alloted each and every day.  Teachers should not be grading parents- g-d knows we have enough pressure to "do it all" without such a law being put into effect!

WOW, so glad I found this site and this group. I met Terry, one of the co-founders, yesterday and she suggested it. A little about me... I own SPArties Mobile Spa (www.sparties.com) We specialize in on-site spa services for individuals and groups AND we transform your entire location into a day spa. I started it in FL in 2001 and brought it to the Northeast in 2004. I still run both locations and have federally trademarked the term/name SPArties. It's been a labor of love and many challenges along the way, but I LOVE what I do and SPArties is absolutely my baby!
I look forward to sharing ideas, getting advice and forming many great relationships through this site. Thanks so much and keep in touch!
