Swim Strong...for confidence
Wow...as I look at the 225 children I am coaching this year, I am so delighted in their overall improvements. Yes, their stroke technique had improved. Yes their times have come down.
But the real change is in their self confidence! They stand up taller, look me straight in the eye and step up to new challenges.
Last night one of my girls competed in her first 100Free event. She actually requested the opportunity to swim it. Yes she was nervous...very nervous. But she got in there and put her head down and swam a great race taking second place and dropping 10 secons from her time...which is HUGE!
THAT is what I'm talking about!
