What is good to eat before you workout?
The body uses carbohydrates for energy, so if you consume a meal with a mix of carbohydrate and protein beforehand, (e.g. cereal with milk or soy milk) the food, combined with the body’s glycogen stores (carbohydrates are converted into glycogen when not utilized immediately) should provide enough energy to get through the workout.
