Sounds like you've had both interesting professional experiences and made meaningful personal choices too. Exciting that you're interested in getting back into the workforce. It can be overwhelming to get started again. You ask what you 'should' do. I want you to consider that there aren't any 'shoulds' with this process. A few questions to think about:
-As you imagine yourself back in the professional sphere, what are you curious about? What interests you? Excites you?
-what are you needs? Do you have any specific requirements that must be present in whatever you do - hours? flexibility? location? salary? Good to consider these items as you plan possibilities?
-who is your network? As you get clearer on possible career options, you'll want to let the people you know that you're back on the market. Even people that you think might not be 'connected' may be an asset as you. You'd be surprised how your Mom-community-family network can be quite an asset for a job search!
-if you are interested in getting back to your former field(s) or even a new area, you may want to check out professional associations related to that field. It's another great way to network. Also - your alma maters can assist you with both career services, and expanding your network.

You can start your journey here by looking to join some of the many groups (under members tab) to connect and network with like moms. Consider the WAHM group (on top of home page) to learn what job others have found that offers flexibility. Or, join the Entrepreneurs group (on top of home page) to find out how you can turn a passion of yours into a profession!

Next, you can reach out to Julie Cohen who is Butterfly's resident career coach (located on the left of home page). Julie is an expert in guiding women and may be helpful to you in choosing a path. Or, scour the national job search board on Butterfly for opportunity.
