- Full-time working mom as Compensation Manager at Dunkin' Brands, Inc in Massachusetts. My primary residence is in Maine so I live and work in MA Monday through Thursday and commute to Maine every weekend. I am a workaholic, always striving for that next promotion. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and gym workouts.

Working Mom Away From Home

I am a working mother who works out of state Mon-Thurs. This arrangement is non uncommon for men. I am not sure how common it is for women and feel like becuase I am a woman I am doing something wrong. I am in a specialized profession where my work can onlly be found in large companies. Maine doesn't offer many opportunities so I work in Massachusettes during the week. Anyone else in such an arrangement?

Hi Debroah, thanks for the suggestion on a bad co-worker series. I love to hear your thoughts on the various types of bad co-workers. A couple that come to mind: - gossip - undermining - leaves you holding the bag - this could be a long series but would love your suggestions.
As for your working arrangement. I had a position that had me out of town every week for a few years, not that my job was in another state but because my group was all over the US. I also have a client who has historically had a position that has her living somewhere besides where her home and husband is.
