A little about yourself...: I am an African-American female; age 56; living in North Carolina; orignially from Baltimore, Maryland; a widow for 20 years; a born-again believer in Christ; Employed as a Certified Peer Support Specialist in mental health; a peer specialist trainer; Wellness Recovery Action Plan trainer; provide motivational empowerment in mental health, developmental disability, and/or substance abuse community; member of the NC Consumer & Family Advisory Committee; President of the National Association of Peer Specialists, Inc.; current online student w/ American InterContinental University pursuing degree in Business Administration w/specializing in Health Care Management.
My interests are: traveling; meeting people from various cultural backgrounds; and providing support and encouragement.
