A little about yourself...

I am 49 year old mom to a wonderful 4 year old daughter. I am an adoption coach/educator, nature photographer and author.

The journey to motherhood for me was a long and bumpy one - it took six years from the time I married at 39 to be blessed with the birth of my daughter Ariel Faith. 6 failed IVF cycles and one domestic adoption later - I was finally a mom.

Why we continue to have an open adoption

We went to my Mom's for Thanksgiving Thursday and had a wonderful family visit and yummy dinner.

Friday we drove over to Sonora to see Ariel's biological/birth Grandma and her parents and Grandma Debie's brother Andy and his wife and son Matthew came over for an early dinner as well.

I like you have had 1 IVF that was successful only to end with lossing twins at 24 weeks and then 4 failed cycles. My path to motherhood took me to Russia to adopt my gift from God. Timothy Ruslan was 10 months when we accepted him and 11 months by the time we arrived in the US with him. He is absolutely the best thing that has happened to me and my husband. We did international which was a smooth process only because Cradel of Hope out of Maryland was excellent. My son is now 12, 5'7 and 130 lbs. I am extremely grateful that this was the plan for my path to motherhood. There is no better job than being a "Mom".
