A little about yourself...: I left my job as a Marketing Director at a large healthcare company in the summer of '08 with the hope of finding a better balance between my work and home life.

I was recently downsized from the marketing dept of a pharamcertucal company and with a 3 year old at home, I was torn as to what to do. I too wanted a better balance.

I decided to go into teaching; I'm in an accelerated master's course that will finish in 18 months. It will be less than what I was making in the corporate world, but the time I will have to spend with my daughter and the work/life balance are more than worth the sacrifice. Just something to consider.
