A little about yourself...

I am wife to Greg and Mom to Christina, Codi, Clay and Colten. I love to bake and cook (gourmet). I enjoy having friends over and relaxing on the back deck. Before designing maternity tees, I was and occasionally still am, a caterer, specializing in Wedding Cakes.

I designed my first maternity tee back in 1994, while pregnant with baby #3. My son, Codi, who was 3 1/2 at the time, asked me why I had a 'bump' on my belly. To make a long story short, I replied, "the bump is there to protect the little baby inside." That is when the idea to design my very first maternity tee was born! It simply read: BUMP...baby under mommy's protection, right across the belly! Since then, I have dropped the word BUMP from my fun line of tees, now only using my phrase "Baby Under Mommy's Protection" in my logo and throughout my designs. Why? The maternity industry became so saturated with BUMP on everything from maternity tees, daddy tees, store names, magazine names, well I did not want to be just another ''BUMP in the crowd", so to speak. I kept the most important part, "baby under Mommy's protection" and incorporated that phrase in the logo/design that I use on at the lower corner on each and every maternity tee that I design, arched above the infant newborn footprints. To make my logo even more unique, I actually used the footprints right off of my boy's birth certificates! I guess you can say this really is a family business. Each of my children have made a contribution to my business. My daughter is my model for the tees that I design, my son, Codi, is the one that helped me to come up with my original phrase. In my logo, one footprint belongs to my son, Clay and the other to my son, Colten! I have added many more designs to my collection and Apple & Eve is now popular throughout the country and is expanding daily! www.appleandevematernity.com
