A little about yourself...
I am a stay-at-home mom, recently divorced and returning to work this fall, finding that my Harvard degree is not helpful after an 8 year gap. I write for The Huffington Post and Change.org,and Turley Publications. I have contributed to The Christian Science Monitor, and The Republican. I am working on a memoir about surviving child abuse.

I also coordinate our local Domestic Violence Task Force. We educate students and the community about interpersonal violence and I work with victims.

Madeline, I'm working on a blog post on domestic violence against pregnant women. Would you be available to be an expert?

Hi, Madeline. Thanks for the invite. I've read your profile and I'm full of admiration. Wish you all the best. Ever travelled to India? I'd love to stay connected. Today's Sunday so it's quite hectic at home. I'm yet to get away for my quiet time with the Lord! I'll write again soon. Sharon

FYI, I had a lot of skin discoloration on my face (due to sun exposure). Is yours due to sun damage or from your pregnancies? Arbonne's Revelage Intensive Pro Brightening Night Serum helped even it out a lot. It retails for $60, but if you sign up to be a preferred client you get 20% discount on all products for a year. : )

Hi Madeleine,
Seems we have a lot in common... I was a stay-at-home mom (2 children) for 12 years and needed to go back to work as after a divorce as well. I found it very hard to go back to a full-time job out of the house & was very lucky to find something that I can do from home, on my own time, and work around my children's schedule. Have you heard of Arbonne? It's a 30-year old company in the health & wellness industry, and I joined the #1 income-producing line. Our team is on fire (It helps that I'm also truly enjoying what I'm doing). I'd be happy to tell you more about it if you think it's something you may want to look into - there are people on my team who are doing their Arbonne business alongside full-time jobs and making a substantial additional income. Good luck to you in whatever you pursue - and I hope that includes fulfilling your dream of becoming a writer! ; )
Best,
Jill

Hi Madeline,
Congratulations to pursue your dream of writing. I have/had a similar situation to yours. I worked for 8 years as a physician assistant and when I married my husband and moved to Austin TX from SF, I couldn't find a job. Then we started having children and soon a lot of years had passed. I started my own small business providing women's health services and education and have narrowed that field to my current passion, working with high risk pregnant women; serving those locally on bed rest and nationally/internationally online. I love what I am doing. To be sure I am not currently making what I made as a PA, but I am sure that in time I'll make enough to be comfortable. Welcome and good luck!

BTW, I am from your neck of the woods. I grew up in Newton, Went to Tufts and married an MIT physics grad. I try to get back at least once a year.
