A little about yourself...
Hi all, I'm so glad to see a website like this up and running! I don't know many women who don't need support in this respect!

In short, my name is Mandi. I am from Flatwoods, KY. I write a humor column for my local newspaper. Mostly it is about being a wife, mother and friend. I take a serious topic and give it a quirky twist. I hope to share some of them here in hope that, at the very least, you will get a good chuckle in your day!

Gentlemen, I’m about to take you on a trip through one of the world’s most mysterious destinations. A place all men fear. Even those brave enough to climb the tallest mountains and battle the biggest armies dare not enter this place.…

Good Pants Are Hard To Find

Posted on October 20, 2010 at 6:08am 3 Comments

I’m never buying pants again. I mean it, never. They make them for tall and skinny ladies, forgetting some of us are, let‘s say, “vertically challenged.” I plan to write a strongly worded letter to some of these people just to let them know that they’ve given me a complex.

Along with my letter, I intend to include a copy of the therapy bill for which they are…

Normal. Finding things in life that fit this description is a rarity, indeed. I’ve also discovered, in my short 29 years, that normal is seriously boring. Now, this is not to say that I’ve not run myself around…

Hi Mandi,
Welcome to Butterfly - so glad you joined! Feel free to upload your excerpts from your column in the Butterfly blog or forum section. We are certain our moms will be extremely receptive.

Continue your journey here by joining some of the many active groups to further connect and network with like-minded women (groups under members tab). Consider too starting a group of your own.

Enjoy the mentor videos such as the featured interview with Lisa Wexler, radio talk show host of "Live with Lisa," and sister to Jill Zarin, Real Housewives of NYC - who together, with their mom co-wrote the book "Secrets of a Jewish Mother." Lisa shares her journey going from being an accomplished Lawyer to changing her career to follow her passion into the radio industry. She even hums a few bars from Flashdance "Take your passion and make it happen." Or Kim Rucker, Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel for Avon who shares advice and journey on trying to manage it all. Click videos and interviews to watch the dozens of fascinating women we've been lucky enough to sit down with: Gloria Allred and Lisa Bloom, Kathie Lee Gifford, Rebecca Lobo, Emme Dina Manzo, Malaak Compton Rock and Jill Zarin, to name a few.

Feel free to leave your comments or to blog about your own work/life experiences. Enjoy the content in Volunteerism, Psychotherapy, Beauty, Health and Fitness, Money and Travel, to name a few.

Any questions just let us know and do take to a moment to upload a pix and invite your friends into the community by way of the invite tab so that we can empower as many women as possible.

Warmly-
Terry/Bradi, Co-Founders, Butterfly
