I realized that I never responded back. Sorry...I'm doing so much of this online social networking, it's hard to keep up. My Ex-husband and I adopted our daughter after several years of infertility child and it has been a wild ride ever since. She is a beautiful and talented 12 year old girl that constantly keeps me on my toes! She was born in the US and we continue to talk about her birthparents (as much as we know) and her story, especially around her birthday.

The important thing to remember is that you are his family and even if he ever has a desire to reconnect with some biological past, you're the one who is raising him (holding him at night, helping him with homework, teaching him to ride a bike, read, speak and be a kind person)!

I feel very strongly about how adoption is often viewed in the media and this country and it's very important to educate people, even gently. I won't go on and on here, but would love to chat with you sometime.
