I am a single mother of a beautiful 19 year old daughter named Kady. She is in her 2nd year at San Diego State University. Now that I have raised my daughter to be a very independant person, it's my turn. I am trying figure a new career path that will be rewarding. I want to wake up in the morning happy . I Just haven't figured out where that path is yet.

Carol - good to hear back from you. Sounds like things are definitely a little "crazy" for you right now. It's difficult when you don't have a set schedule; I can certainly understand that. I wish I could offer a way for you to give PartyLite a try & make it work for you, but having an uncertainty with your "day job" scheduling certainly can make that an obstacle. Should anything change for you, feel free to contact me. Since you love the products, you'd make a great consultant for the company! Loving he products is 99% of it! ; ) As far as ordering, PartyLite now offers on-line ordering, so while having a party is definitely the way to go since you'd be getting the free shopping spree, on-line ordering is great for when you need to restock your wax!
Let me know if you have any questions/need any help whenever you're ready to order. Just visit my site for more info: www.partylite.biz/jennifermanzella Good luck with everything!!!!

Hi Carol...are you overwhelmed with opportunities yet? Feel free to check out my blog on my page and my group on MyWorkButterfly called Direct Sales Moms. Direct selling (which includes network marketing and mlm companies) is an amazing and flexible opportunity and finding the right one is very important. I love what I do and I'd love to help you find the right opportunity for you. You must have done something right that your daughter wants to come and spend time with you!!! And if you get your business established well, then you'll have time for those grandkids that are sure to come someday! And in the meantime, you'll have a great time getting your business going for YOU!
Take care!
Tonya

Hi Carol,
I don't know if you've had a chance to check out Arbonne's website yet (www.arbonne.com). All of their products are wonderful, but that's just a bonus to doing this business. : )
Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of any help to you.
Best,
Jill

Hi Carol,
Yes, it is a wonderful company with wonderful products, & I've joined the #1 income-producing team in the US! My Exec VP, Linda Blum Huntington, has only had her Arbonne business for 18 months and already makes 6 figures (and drives a Mercedes given to her from the company). If you're interested, I would love to set up a 3-way phone call between you, Linda & myself. She will tell you all about the business & would be able to answer any questions you may have. Plus, it would also be a great help to me as I'm still in training. Please feel free to give me a call. My number is 914-602-6562. Have a great day!

Carol - Glad you're in school - I've wanted to go back for quite some time but time keep passes and I don't get to it. I'd love the satisfaction of the accomplishment though. Ooo.. I think you misunderstood.. going back to the corp world is NOT an option for me. I've found my niche with Rodan+Fields and balance in some artwork and playing momma taxi. I'm happy with this course of action and its working for me... and getting paid to share my passion is like not working at all! Don't be hard on yourself. You're doing great things for yourself and your daughter. It'll come back to you in the end. - Keep in touch, Marcia

Carol - thanks for answering! I get it.... yeah, like Mary Kay or the kitchen stuff, I get it. I agree with you that I would like selling stuff I liked to sell, but as far as recruiting friends and family - no way for me! I will have to keep searching for my future career... :). Thanks for sharing! If you come across any non-mlm opportunities that sound good, I would definitely be interested in hearing about them! Best wishes to you!

Carol - Sounds like you know exactly WHY you want an alternative income stream. If you stay focused as to WHY you are looking to build your own business - you will be more successful. We do so much for our kids and want them to have a secure future. The backlash from this economic disaster is bound to affect their future opportunities so I know that if I can build something that generates a residual income - we'll all benefit in the long run. Also, for me going into the corporate world, after a 15 year absence, just isn't an option..besides I don't like anyone telling me what to do! :)
Take a look at the event I just posted.. it may be a bit far but if you're free and want to take a road trip - let me know! - Keep me posted. - Marcia
