I'm 24 years old and just about to finalize a divorce from my ex who had left when our youngest was 4 months old. So I've worked nights as a waitress in a local restaurant in addition to raising the kids without much help from him at all. I started to feel a bit down about my situation but due to our "Bake Night Mondays" at work with the girls I was actually offered a job baking for the restaurant I work for! So now I wait tables, bake AND work at the hockey rink concession stand...all at night while my parents watch my little ones. And to top it all off, I have an amazing boyfriend who has done more with me and the kids in the few months we've been together than I could ever have hoped for.
I love to bake, knit, write, make jewelry and do all sorts of crafty things and am hoping to be able to get a portfolio together so I can apply to art school in November. :o)

I would love to hear more on if you're able to get your portfolio together for art school. I originally went to Ithaca College for an Art Degree...some 2 years later into the program I elected to also take a Business Management degree as well.
