A little about yourself...
im a very outgoing person who seems to be used as a doormat. i have a 2 year old and i work part time and spend the rest of my free time with him. i don't get out much because its hard to depend on anyone to watch my son.

We were leaving and getting into our seperate cars, and chatting when he preceeded to tell… Continue

Dear Stephanie,
Thank you so much for sharing your story and know that you are truly not alone. Please know that although it sounds 'cliche', everything does happen for a reason. You will move on to better things shortly, even if it may take a while to heal. It's good that you're going to a therapist - and also know you can email our psychotherapist, Julie Potischman on our site. You will find her info under Therapist (under the Resources tab). All of our resources here on Butterfly are free to our members.

Also, please join our SINGLE MOMS group. There are so many fabulous women in this group who are so supportive of one another. Also we have many other health-related groups in our community that might interest you...or feel free to start a group of your own. It may be helpful to blog on our site regularly. Along with are many experts, the moms here are always willing to provide suggestions as well.

You may also want to visit our HEALTH and NUTRITION sections (found under the Lifestyle tab).

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need anything that you are not finding here on Butterfly.

Best,
Terry, Co-Founder, Bfly

Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to Butterfly from Facebook- your so is adorable! I thought the following eight child care solutions/suggestions to help you on your way:

1. SitterCity.com - a national baby sitting service
2. Mom's Helper - a trustworthy nanny agency in the tri-state area
3. Friends and family, especially grandparents
4. Local YMCA's or churches offer preschool programs
5. Licensed local day care facilities- go for reputable names you trust, tour the facilities, meet the directors, owners, teachers and always get references
6. Nanny share with a friend- like a job share
7. After school care- many schools offer on-site after school care
8. Local in-home care- a cost effective alternative

Find more childcare resources under the resources/child care section and feel free to reach out to Julie Potischman who is our resident Psychotherapist who can help you feel like less of a "doormat". Trust me, Julie is wonderful and can be accessed on the left of the home page.

Enjoy the inspiring mom mentor interviews providing that mother can do it all. Any questions just let me know.
Best,
Bradi, Co-Founder
