MyWorkButterfly Spam in NOT on the Menu - Weekly Wings

Spam. Never liked the stuff- be it in the can or out. Lately, I’ve been seeing more spam out of the can and in the pages of MyWorkButterfly.com.  If you are confused as to what “spam” is as it relates to our community- let me clarify:

Jeanette Daily-Etnier Questions to Ask Child Care Providers that Target Quality Care

When it comes to quality child care and finding a good fit for you and your child, remember that you are the interviewer in this process and so ask for clarity when it comes to operational definitions. Clearly this cast/crutches thing…

MyWorkButterfly Child Sexual Abuse - Weekly Wings

I am quite fond, to put it mildly, of Butterfly member Jill Starishevsky and her hard- hitting posts on the topic of child abuse and sex crimes.  As an Assistant District Attorney in New York City, Jill has prosecuted hundreds of sex offenders.  She is also the protective mother of three!

Bradi Nathan Hooking you up with a FREEBIE!

Here we are- officially one week into 2012.  Spill it! How many of you have already abandoned your New Year’s resolution? I confess, I ate like sh!t yesterday but hey, today’s a new day!

I checked out Flywheel™ in Millburn, NJ recently because it’s rumored to be the best indoor cycling and barre experience around (and I figured if I can’t get the eating thing down right this early in the game, I may as well get the exercise thing down). Flywheel™ and barre are truly amazing…

Jill Starishevsky 10 REASONS NOT TO DISCUSS CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN 2012

I have heard them all.  I have heard all the reasons why parents don’t discuss child sexual abuse prevention with their children.  I have heard them so often that I can recite them by heart.  As the new year approaches, I decided it would be a good idea to memorialize the top 10 reasons for not discussing the subject.  I invite you to add any that may have been omitted.

Lucila McElroy New Year's Resolution: Self Compassion (It's the New Self Esteem)

I know that even though I have been a Life Coach for many years I considered being vulnerable myself a weakness (although I wouldn't admit it for many years).  In more recent years, I started to see that the reason to "hide" (and not share how I was truly experiencing life) is because I thought I was the "only one".  My unconscious little voice would say "there is something wrong with you".  The context I had created for my life was of feeling good when I thought I was "better than others"…
