Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion., Isaiah 52:2...Rebuke the devil for he has been lying......inaccurately defining...all that you are. In an effort to emotionally scar...the beloved's psyche and heart. Rip your self esteem completely apart. Leaving women and young girls...chained to the world's...unrealistic…

I’d be remised if I didn’t acknowledge the sweeping Oscar win for Best Actress in a Leading Role by mom-to-be, Natalie Portman, for her outstanding performance in the quite twisted, but brilliant, Black Swan. Pre-baby bump, Natalie spent one-year training to acquire such a…Continue

Is it just me or have our communication manners for returning voicemails and emails gone the way of horse and buggies? Over the past few years, I have noticed what I think is a complete lack of courtesy. When I leave someone a voicemail, it’s because I want to speak to that person.…Continue

Toddlers and obsessions go hand in hand. Like many other children, my son had an intense Cars obsession for a long time. He still loves Cars and anything having to do with Cars very very much, but it is no longer an obsession.
Now, The Obsession has moved on to hockey.
You know it is an obsession when you tell people, “He really loves hockey,” and you know inside that doesn’t even begin to explain it.
Examples of my son’s new obsession:
Our wood floor…

Recently, in a Linked In group associated with HR, someone posted a discussion that well over 2400 people commented on. The flavor of the discussion was: Why is it so hard to find good employees? It’s like a standoff between the frowning faces of the boss and the employee. Both are thinking really bad things about the other. I’d like to give you a perspective from a boss’s point of view regarding this comment.
I acknowledge that there are bad bosses. I also acknowledge that…Continue

Got married, then divorced within two years. Thought life really sucked but then married the greatest guy in the world. He came to work with me at the famiy business and thought things…Continue
I've always thought, as an adult, that whats on the inside shows up on the outside. Well, it seems to be true. For the last month and a half I have been practicing Yoga on a regular basis. I am HOOKED! I am at the Yoga studio at least four times a week and I take two classes on Sunday. I have never been hooked on any fitness program. But, maybe thats the point. Yoga is more a way of life. It's a way of thinking, being able to calm yourself down and find yourself in a very busy world. I used…Continue
Love the Family. O yes very much. Me and mom and lil sis- of course she is not little any more. All Grown up and she has two college degrees! I am very proud of that lil sis of Mine. Well for a long time I felt she was all mine. And she was. She was born when I was 11. I pretended she was my own baby. What a little Doll. So cute! I held her for hours, sometimes until we both fell asleep. It was fun and so…Continue

After all the hard work and effort, you finely landed the job. The anxiety about what’s going to happen next is gone and you’re relieved that you can stop updating your resume. Now that you have a job and you’re about to start next Monday, you’re starting to feel the sheer terror of what you have just gotten yourself into. You’re questioning your ability, their stability, their likeability and every kind of “ility” there is. You are feeling like a deer in the head lights. OH MY GOSH!…Continue

I am so grateful for the Butterfly network of amazing women. We are a testament to women coming together to share ideas, with no judgment. Go us!
Blogs have done amazing things for our society; most importantly they have given everyone a voice. Over the last 19 days, we have seen Egypt cut off Internet access, bloggers jailed in Syria, and a new Facebook-driven protest in Iran. We can also communicate our ideas, fears, dreams, and talents to anyone and everyone who will listen…Continue

What holds us back from doing what we really want to do? Is it lack of motivation? Is it lack of time? Is it lack of support? The good thing about these, and most excuses, is that they are variables. We can change them as soon as we want. It's when we get fed up with things staying the same, is when we change. It's when we look in the mirror and want a strong body, but haven't done enough to get it. It's when we stand up and say, "Enough is enough!"
I believe that the…Continue

Love ME with all your heart, soul and mind
Put no god before the Divine
Love that defines
The width and dept, that can not confine
Or make the magnitude of my love for you ever decline
