Grumpy Meme

I was tagged in a meme by the lovely and always fascinating Kristin at Wanderlust. She is a talented writer. If you haven’t checked her out already, you should do so!

I have been charged to list 7 things that annoy me, bother me, piss me off, make me grumpy, IRRITATE me (said with a growl). You get the idea.

I have no problem doing this. Sadly, I am a person with many pet peeves. Recently, I wrote a list in a post,…

Career Development: Are You as Good as Your Word?

A concept I don’t think gets talked about too much as it relates to a person’s career growth is integrity. Integrity sometimes sounds stiff and too conceptual but there are aspects to it that are so critical to your success that it bears pointing out – repeatedly.

In the world of work (and it doesn’t matter if we’re talking business or non profit) the primary commodity we trade off of daily is trust. If you are unable or unwilling to trust the other person to do what they say they… Continue

Here are 7 ways you can update your résumé to the 21st Century:

1. Personalize as well as customize your résumé.

2. Don’t just list your job description and tasks in each job.

Jewish Wisdom from Real Housewives of NYC

Better late than never. Although, never late is better. If you have fallen subject to this cliché, then let us help to make that post Father’s Day gift a little less late. Stay connected to your dad, or simply let your kids stay connected to theirs with the Powerstick™. The…

Adventure, Danger, and Intrigue Await

“Then the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was greater than the risk it took to blossom.” –Anais Nin

Adventure is not my middle name, people. However, I am on the cusp of many adventures. The word alone sends shivers down my spine. I’ll never forget walking down our neighborhood street with my husband when I was 9 months pregnant. Our neighbor shouted, “Looks like you’re getting close to having the baby! Get ready for the adventure of your lives!” At the time, I…

Is Daddy Safe?

I sat down to write a nice blog about Daddy-o, because really, he is a fantastic father. But it’s not really my style to write a mushy post about how fabulous he is, so instead I thought I’d talk about how he almost broke the baby this week.

Daddy-o came home from work the other day and joined us all in the backyard. I went inside and started puttering around when suddenly I heard the panicked words of Daddy-o: “oh man….don’t move buddy,…

Daddy Anxiety

I try to be respectful and loving toward my dear, good husband in my blog (please ignore the Labor Story post in which he was referred to as The F****r). Let’s give props where props are due. My husband is a fabulous Husband and Father. He gets up early with Parker in the morning so I can sleep, he loves taking Parker places, he is confident about taking care of him if I have to leave out of town,…

Cherish your family memories

Photographic collage is a great way to cherish your memories, and bond with your family too.
After collecting my photos in boxes and digital cards, I finally found a way to save time and space my combining several memories into one picture. Plus the kids enjoy looking at the past photos, makes for fun conversation and even enjoy helping pick out photos. I also find it a great way to preserve some family history too, a keepsake for my children to have in the future, to pass on to their…

Not enough hours in the day!

It used to be summer was the down time after school was over, but not any more.
My oldest son is practicing for the fall varsity tennis team, and my younger son is playing baseball.
Plus my driving son has not purchased his first car yet - but hopes to soon, he just can't decide - before the carpooling drives my husband and I crazy. With a full time job, and a part-time business on the side, there just is not enough hours in the day. Plus there is that moment where my husband…

Cleaning House: Green and Non-Toxic

This is my week to praise products I have been so incredibly happy with. And, no, I have not been paid by any company to write this blog post. I am truly a happy customer wanting to share my experience to help you.

It's also time for another mommy admission.

I am not a clean freak. (Sorry Mom. Why didn't I develop this gene from you?)

My daughter is approaching two and a half and only recently did I finally wake up to the fact that it's really important to use safe… Continue

Toddler Loving Kickboard Mini Scooter

There are many toys on the market for children that are not one size fits all. Some kids have longer legs than average while others have longer torsos. And, some products are not labeled correctly as to who the product is really best suited for.

In our case, Sarah has some ride on toys that are just not ready for her to ride yet…

Shrek + Monsters and Miracles: A Journey Through Jewish Picture Books = Kids Off The Couch

Most kids haven't a clue that the green and stinky ogre that has clumped his way through their childhood sprung from a spare and pithy children's book. Chances

and final sequel to Shrek that is currently ruling the box…

Hello ladies :)

Hello sweet friends!

I would like to share this video with all of you. I believe it is high time that women were celebrated for all that they do. I wrote this book, Mother Daze, as a way to recognize the wonderful gift of motherhood and highlight the realities of raising young children in this high-octane parenting society. Please feel free to share this link with your pals. I want women to smile and feel good about…
