I'm only human

Hi. I realize it’s been a few since the last installment of the Weekly Wings was emailed out...  I could blame it on the fact that school started, coinciding with Labor Day, wrapped around a few Jewish holidays, including two travel soccer teams, a bit of gymnastics, oh, and my daughter’s attempt to play the Viola.  Or, I could just come clean and say I’m human.

Butterfly mom, Jenny Lewis, admits that she’s…

How do you recharge your batteries?

Starting my own business has been rewarding, exhilarating, and yes, frustrating and discouraging.  After a spate of “beginners’ luck”, the reality of starting a new business (as we recover from the recession) set in.  I’ve never been a patient person and  have quit many times before, so this is presenting some new challenges.  However, unlike earlier endeavors, this is one I wholeheartedly believe in, so I know that I owe it to myself not to give up.  I’m learning how to stay positive and…

Just Keep Swimming….and Biking….and Running.

My family spent a full week getting excited about doing a TRi KiDS™ triathlon scheduled for a Sunday this summer. Our kids have participated in triathlons for as long as I can remember. For a big family – a triathlon day is hectic, but a lot of…

Labor Day Love

Labor day is one of my favorite long weekends out of the year. Don't ask me why... I've just always looked forward to this particular weekend at the end of a long summer.

This summer didn't go by too slow. I thought it was going to when it got super hot early in July. I was worried it was going to be THAT HOT alllllllllllll summer long. Thankfully.... mother nature got my memo and it cooled off. Not a lot but enough to make it tolerable. If only she'd get my memo about my dislike…

Research that I have done is coconut oil and milk is VERY good for your digestion and overall health.…
