All Love Means...

Note: A paragraph to positive change.

I wrote this poem and took this picture around the same time. It was 2007 and even though I was back in school, my change plan was something I wanted to achieve. The reality was I wasn't sure I knew if the decisions I was making were the right ones. You could tell through all my creative work the pain of change was causing. All I could do was to write it all down. The late afternoon that I captured the below image. Just happen. It was just as beautiful in the colors that radiated from the sunset. I did no editing. It was things like that I know God prepared for me to see me through. Searching and finding reasons to love me. My dreams and goals are becoming realities. I AM a beautiful woman, my colors radiate from within.

Its a presence, I can't breathe
He is here, I should leave
He is everything I want
I am nothing he needs
I love him to much
to ever let him meet me
Change, I know maybe for him
not enough
For me, it maybe
to tough

Yet, I still dream about this person
I don't know
The loneliness can only show
If I can't have him
than I choose to be alone.
To know him in my heart and dreams
I finally know what love means.
Happy and sad as that sounds to be
I am so relieved that hope has
finally found me

Its a definition it seems.
Something, I would love for us both to see.
Pure in my thoughts, still young in my heart.
free of the past, happy at last
though with the pain, gone is the shame
All love means...
Is that it starts with me.
