So there is this new wave of coolness happening in the world of retail. Pop-up stores by definition are temporary retail stores...oh, I am sorry, did I mention that I currently am a proprietor of one? Apologies.. yes, in Millburn NJ- the House of Finds, www.houseoffinds.com
is “pop-in” up! It is a boutique filled with lots of fun "finds" like Notice's exposed zipper back dress in pink-black-green and blue and Acrobat's linen gauze tops all for under $100. I strongly believe that good fashion does not have to be expensive. It's all about how you wear it and own it...anything will look expensive if you act like it is. Because it’s a temporary boutique, fresh clothing and accessories will be coming in on a regular basis - that’s the beauty of the pop-up concept.

I digress into a very appropriately, delicious story...
The fair maiden who happens to be the co-founder of this site..Ms. Bradi Nathan… mentioned to me that she needed a dress for Saturday night. Huh? I thought, finally I have a chance to take advantage of dressing a 6ft tall, fabulously amazing woman.

We part ways and I run to the House of Finds (www.houseoffinds.com sorry had to plug again) and grabbed a slew of dresses that had potential. It’s 6:00, party starts at 7:00 and I am still in my version of sweats, don’t fret I don’t rock the Champions. I fly into Bradi’s house, loudly announcing my arrival and am greeted with “I already bought a dress”. Not even phased, I say “let’s see it.” I dare it to rival mine, I think in my head. I took a brief look at the totally fine, yet ordinary, black dress. Without taking a breath or allowing her to disagree, I pull out an exceptional, white satin Notice dress that drapes in all the right places and insist she put it on. My tall drink of water slinks it on and BAM!!!! Magic!!!! She looks like a super model. With a total “air” of sheer confidence, I gather up the other dresses and say “My work here is done!”

Moral of the story…Pop-Up stores are the wave of the future and ALWAYS, always give a dress a chance before saying “NO.”
