Dieters Beware: FDA Says Don’t Use Hydroxycut

Government health officials are urging consumers to stop using Hydroxycut supplements after reports of serious health problems including liver damage, cardiovascular problems, seizures and at least one death. Following a FDA advisory released on May 1st, fourteen Hydroxycut products were recalled voluntarily by the manufacturer.

Products covered by the recall include:

• Hydroxycut Regular Rapid Release Caplets
• Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Rapid Release Caplets
• Hydroxycut Hardcore Liquid Capsules
• Hydroxycut Max Liquid Capsules
• Hydroxycut Regular Drink Packets
• Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Drink Packets
• Hydroxycut Hardcore Drink Packets (Ignition Stix)
• Hydroxycut Max Drink Packets
• Hydroxycut Liquid Shots
• Hydroxycut Hardcore RTDs (Ready-to-Drink)
• Hydroxycut Max Aqua Shed
• Hydroxycut 24
• Hydroxycut Carb Control
• Hydroxycut Natural

Hydroxycut products are some of the most popular weight loss supplements on the market, with sales of more than 9 million packages last year. Products not affected by the recall are Hydroxycut Cleanse and Hoodia products.
