Fair Pay Act- Senators say, "No thanks" this Thanksgiving - Weekly Wings

In the midst of a supermarket excursion with the kids, in preparation to feed over two-dozen family members for Thanksgiving, which is no small feat, Terry forwarded me an outlandish email. We're sure (whether you're a Butterfly Mom from "Down Under" or from Denmark) you, like us, are completely outraged to learn: The Paycheck Fairness Act came to the Senate floor days ago and was defeated! On the grounds of sexual orientation we are to get paid less for the same job as men. Period. 
According to MomsRising.org, “
The Paycheck Fairness Act was (and is) sorely needed to update the Equal Pay Act, which passed in 1963, and doesn't reflect modern realities of a labor force that's 50% women. Right now women make 77 cents to every dollar made by men and the pay gap has been narrowing by less than half a percent a year. That means at this rate the pay gap won't close until 2057.
