Linda Schuller Provides Insight On Woking In The Travel Industry

Linda Schuller has worked in the travel industry since 1978, originally owning her own agency, “The Great Escape.” She sold her business to Protravel in 2001 and is now a managing director. Linda notes, “I don’t see myself quitting, because I’m having a good time. I am selling travel, but I now have more flexibility and freedom.”

The travel industry can be a wonderful field for moms looking for a part-time career. The need to earn money is critical to ones’ success. Protravel employs two types of people who work in travel: those that work full-time from the house and those who are independent contractors. Independent contractors are able to work from home, set their own hours, but must secure their own clients.

Protravel offers a wonderful internship program. They will train and mentor you for several months until you begin booking on your own. In order to be successful, you must have a network of family and friends to tap into.
