Memorial Day Weekend! What did you do?
We do hope that you've taken this holiday to spend some much-needed time with the family. On our end, it's a welcome respite from the insanity of over-scheduled kids and in working at warped speed.

This was definitely a resort at home weekend for my family. We barbequed, went swimming, drank wine and slept. As a working mom I needed that sleep. I look well rested today but I am still tired. I guess I will be tired till the boys are 18.

I took the boys for a day in Wilmington (about an hour from here) for some shopping and lunch. Our goal today and tomorrow is to stay home and relax. We live in a military town so Memorial Day has special meaning here. Most people head to the beach but I could do without the crowds so we'll go another time ;)
