"Mompreneur" stimulus package

So...this year has been a rough one, economically speaking. Consumer spending is way down, which means fewer opportunities for us to get our fabulous new "must have" products on the retail shelves. If you are anything like me, your goals for fiscal year 2009 have gone from making your first million to making the ends meet! The good news is that the market has entered a "recovery state", which means people are starting to spend more. With any luck, 2010 will bring buyers with money to spend!
I have been thinking a lot about my own spending habits over the last year. Of course, life keeps on happening. People have birthdays, babies, and get married. Christmas is imminent. Which means I have to buy gifts. I don't know about you, but I absolutely love being that lady who gives that rare and unique gift that people keep talking about. Over the course of the last year I have really been able to capitalize on my "mompreneur" connections and give some truly spectacular gifts. There are so many fabulous products invented by some truly inspiring women, and it has truly been so much fun to be able to both give the latest and greatest gift to my friends and family, while also helping a fellow business woman! In addition, the buzz that is created when other ladies see these items usually culminates in even more sales! Fabulous!
These are just my habits. Can you imagine what would happen if we all changed our habits to support fellow mompreneurs? Wow. This Christmas season I challenge all of you to put the Target items down (unless that item happens to be a fabulous mom inventor's product that made it big) and take advantage of all the fabulous "up and coming" items that you, as a mompreneur, know about. Who knows? It could skyrocket you to the top of the "ultimate gifter" list!
