Partners. Are Two Heads Better Than One? - Weekly Wings

For those of you who have partners in business, and in life, you know that sharing allows you to climb higher than you could alone. Consider finding a partner for your venture, like mine- Terry, who brings tremendous value. One who you can trust, that has additional relationships and strengths to combat your weaknesses. I am resting my fingertips this week as my “other half” Terry, would like to share a few words of her own:

“On the heels of our sons coming home from sleep-away camp for their very first time and summer fleeting by, I am reminded as we come close to hitting 5,000 members in 112 countries of an infamous Sunday at the end of August. It was on this day as I was entering Borders’ bookstore with my dear friend Janelle that I was first introduced to Bradi. It's hard to believe that in less than two years we've created this wonderful community for moms just like us to gain the support, advice and solutions they need to make their lives richer.

From our early Kathie Lee Gifford interview as she came off the set of TODAY at NBC Studios, unforgettable launch at the home of Malaak and Chris Rock (Jan '09) and establishing the MyWorkButterfly.com brand with little to no PR budget through the support of other celebrity, hi-profile and everyday moms (i.e. Emme, Danielle Monaro, Caroline and Dina Manzo, Dr. Robi Ludwig, Lisa Bloom, Gloria Allred, Josie Bissett, Nicole Richie, and Whitney Perry) -- to our Live Celebrity Charity Auctions (our maiden voyage set sail with a "Dream Date with Nick Lachey" to benefit the VH1 Save The Music Foundation and Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat, Martha Byrne and Ed & Rachelle Begley, Jr.) to our latest venture, launching our "Moms' 3-Hour Workweek" - a Business-in-a-box Solution based on Bradi's successful flex-friendly "Mommy & Me" business with our return-to-work and laid off moms in mind seeking a flex-friendly business of their own.

Thanks to all of our Butterfly Moms ~ who remind us regularly with a personal email, comment, blog post, event, video, advertising placement/query and engaging conversation ~ that we are making a difference in the world and fulfilling our own dream to empower as many moms as possible. And, of course, to our trusted mom experts who provide us with the resources we need to help pave the way: Shari Boockvar; Butterfly's resident Registered Dietician, Nutrition Counselor, Consultant and Founder of Nutrifacts Inc., Jennifer Davidson; resident fashion guru and co-founder of stylebakery.com, Lisa Bayer; President, Life Management Resources LLC and Eldercare contributor, Kara Sibilia; freelance writer and health expert, Julie Cohen; Career Coach, Julie Potischman and Dr. Robi Ludwig; Psychotherapists, Malaak Compton-Rock; Volunteerism contributor, Lynne Kenney; PsyD, parenting expert and thanks to Diane Lang and Tracey Alexander; Butterfly’s Work/Life editors! An additional special shout-out to our charities of choice: The VH1 Save The Music Foundation, Go Red for Women, Junior Achievement, Sweet Blackberry and, of course, Project Ladybug. My personal thanks to: Bradi, Ken, David and to our children who have supported us on our incredible journey. I cannot wait to see what the next chapter will bring.”

Enjoy the rest of your summer. We have some wonderful surprises in store for you this fall!

Best,

Terry and Bradi
