Working Moms Want to Get Down On The Floor And Play

GET DOWN ON THE FLOOR AND PLAY! That means you!

A great way to have fun with your kids is to get down on the floor and play at their level. Here are some suggestions of “on the floor” games you can play with children of different ages.

• Infants – Lay your baby on her tummy on a soft blanket with a couple of bright toys in front of her. Talk with her and play with her in that position. Next, you can flip her on to her back and help her play with toys, or you can lie on your back with baby on your tummy and bounce gently. Maybe she'll even sleep:).

• Toddlers – Get out the wooden blocks and start building. You can make pyramids, roads, houses, walls and more. Add in some plastic animals and make a farm, or some cars and make it a racetrack.

• Pre-Schoolers – Kids this age love to be creative, so gather together some old hats, shirts, skirts, accessories, etc., and play dress up. Each of you can sit down and look through the assortment of treasures to come up with a stunning outfit. Once you’re both dressed, role play as if you were at a tea party, or visiting a friend.

Your children's favorite toy is you.
